The H5N1 Antigen Rapid Test (Swab) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of influenza type A (H5N1) antigen in human nasopharyngeal swab or throat swab specimens.
H5N1 avian influenza, a highly pathogenic subtype of Influenza A, is a zoonotic disease with a 2-8 day incubation period (typically 2-5 days). lt causes influenza-like symptoms, including high fever (>38°C), lower respiratory issues, and sometimes diarrhea, vomiting,abdominal pain, pleuritic pain,and bleeding from the nose or gums. AllTest H5N1 Rapid Test series detects the bacterium in swabs using a membrane-based immunoassay.
